            Counselling

Welcome

Depression, fear, anxiety and other mental health issues are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience, some point in our lives.

As fully qualified counsellors we can help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so that you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.

We will help you to find your own solutions, whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with any issues that may arise.

About Me - Laura

I have significant experience as a counsellor supporting individuals who find themselves lost, alone, confused, stuck, depressed or overwhelmed.

How I Can Help

I can offer you a confidential space to explore any issues or problems you are facing and a safe place where talking to a professional will give you a better understanding of 'yourself', helping you to solve any difficulties you are experiencing.

During the counselling process things may become clearer, new understandings about what it is preventing you from living more fully will emerge, alongside new possibilities for living a richer, more fulfilling life. The process will highlight opportunities for making positive change.

By exploring your situation in a safe and non-judgemental welcoming environment, together we can search for new possibilities. Where you can be heard, a space where you can speak, feel and think freely, perhaps for the first time.

About Me - Esther

Therapy can help us understand complex emotions, behaviours, or enable us to learn more about ourselves. It can help to make sense of what is causing distress by exploring new ways to manage feelings so that our feelings don’t control and manage us.

I practice with warmth, empathy and compassion which aims to facilitate you to feel safe to share what might be worrying you in a trusting, confidential and non-judgemental way. I work with clients who experience a wide range of life problems such as sexual and domestic abuse, anxiety, anger management, bereavement and loss, depression, relationships issues, HIV, sexuality and identity, PTSD, self-esteem/confidence, self-harm, trauma and stress.

As well as my private practice I have extensive experience working within the NHS, sexual health and education sectors. I am BACP-certified and fully insured, which gives you the assurance that I am a qualified professional who will work with you in a safe and ethical way.

How I Can Help

Working together we can uncover the obstacles that hold you back, change old thoughts and behaviour patterns and move towards a happier and fulfilled life. Here are some areas we might explore together: Finding new ways to handle difficult emotions like sadness, anxiety, fear or anger. Working through big changes in your life such as, the end of a relationship, the loss of something important to you or menopause. Understanding yourself better, including your identity, feelings about yourself, and how you fit into the world and find joy.
